sigh.
It's a bit demoralizing to get laid off over and over again. This time it was as expected. His company did not win the bid to continue providing the service. There is still a chance that the new company will want to keep him on but we won't know about that till...till they tell us I guess. We don't even know who the new company will be.
He is for sure working until the end of February...maybe March. Plus we do have $5,000 in our emergency fund which would cover about 2 months of expenses.
It just sucks. He's great at what he does and we were finally starting to feel like we were getting ahead.
Only to get pulled back down.
I don't think I'm catastrophizing too much. It just sucks. But we will be ok. we will.
Ouch. Sorry to hear that FC. :(
ReplyDeleteHopefully, the company will keep him on. If not, I'm sure he'll find something soon. Like you said, he's great at what he does. It'll just be a matter of time. In the meantime, he still has time to search for soemthing else and you have a Emergency FUnd for just this reason.
so true. It just stinks. I can't even imagine what it feels like for him.
ReplyDeletethat's horrible! I'm so sorry to hear that.
ReplyDeleteOh no, I remember when you were weighing the options of the two companies and he chose this one. Hopefully they keep him on and all works out. Again tells us why an emergency fund is so important. Hope everything gets sorted out soon. *Hugs*
