Things are looking up

Sorry for my great absences lately. I am just barely managing to keep myself together at the moment. With work and school and being sick and whatever else is going on....it's been a rough month so far but I am surviving!

Anyways...

As you know, Boris has received a lay-off notice because his company lost the contract to provide services for an institution. But, now the new company has been announced and they have asked that all current employees who are interested in working for the new company sign a release form. The form is just saying that Boris allows his current employer to share his personnel file with the new employer. Hopefully this means that he will get to keep working!

Of course, we have absolutely no information about how much will change with the new employer. I am curious to see what might change because it's still a unionized environment and they are still going to be covered by the same union. So how much can really change?

We shall see.

  1. well... maybe it'll just be a transfer of employers then? the union will try to protect the workers but there's no guarantees. hopefully though, the restructuring changes won't be too much.
