Of course, in order to get the new couch in we had to get the old couch out. There is one problem with that plan. The old couch is too big to fit in the elevator or staircase! We got it in the building by hoisting it up and over the balcony as well as having a window temporarily removed. Instead of doing that again (especially since the couch was going to the dump - not good enough to donate) we took care of business!
Yep, it had to die. We chopped that sucker up!
Apparently, it also saved us some money because we didn't have to pay for a couch disposal at the dump but instead paid by weight.
Uh... Exactly how did you chop it up? With an axe? o__o?
ReplyDeleteGood question! I had my carpenter friend come over with all the tools. She/we used circular saws and a sawall (I have no idea if these names are right). We basically used alot of power tools, wire cutters and scissors! lol
